With destructive feeding habits and love of all things starchy, Silverfish can be found inside your home at anytime of the year. Silverfish are normally 12-19 mm in length and have a silvery and scaly appearance. Silverfish prefer dry and ,what us humans prefer too, average humidity and temperature climates. A female silverfish will lay groups of about 60 eggs at once, and deposit them in small crevices. Eggs are oval-shaped, whitish, about 0.8 mm long, and take between two weeks and two months to hatch. The climate on the Gold Coast make a perfect environment for silverfish to thrive, so when treating an infestation, My Pestie will kill the adults and the eggs.
