Pest Control for
GERMAN COCKROACHESCockroaches are the most common insects where we can find in our homes, offices etc.,
Why do I need pest control for German Cockroaches?
- German cockroaches usually cluster closely together.
- Normally most active at night in dark areas
- German cockroaches can get into everything, multiply rapidly, and survive for several months without food and up to two weeks without water
- Cockroaches generally will not survive very well in a vacant home due to the lack of food available.
A big difference between the German cockroach and the common cockroach, is that the female carries the egg case (Oothecae) around with her until it is just due to hatch. In contrast the common cockroach dumps hers after a few hours. They are unable to survive in locations away from humans or human activity. Another major factor limiting German cockroach survival appears to be cold temperatures.
The German cockroach has an incredible capacity to produce offspring. A female produces an egg case (ootheca) containing between 30-40 eggs. The female cockroach carries this egg case for around three weeks until the day the eggs hatch. She then hides before dropping her egg case. Because of this behavior, the chances of harming the female and her eggs is almost impossible without pest control for German cockroaches.
